Reading/ELA- In reading we are working on asking questions while reading. Good readers think about what they're reading while they are reading. We want them thinking about their thinking, or in other words, metacognition. When readers are able to question their reading, they are able to see if things make sense, and form opinions about their reading. Additionally, we will focus on antonyms this week. In writing, we will continue working on small moments, but this week you will see a sample of your child's writing coming home with a checklist they will fill out about their writing.
Science- We are continue our unit on sounds. The children have learned that sounds are made from vibrations, but this week we will learn about how there are different pitches, volumes, and emergency sounds.
