Reading/ELA- We will continue to look at how we can use information gained from a text's illustrations (maps, charts, diagrams) to comprehend the text. Additionally, we will shift our focus from opinion writing, to reviewing informational writing, "How to Prepare for Great Americans" and we will continue to emphasize how to correctly use simple, compound, and complex sentences in our writing. Specifically, we will be also be looking at how to capitalize titles appropriately.
Science/Social Studies- We are reviewing a mixture of different skills taught this year. Today we took at look at Paul Revere. Throughout the week, we will focus on reviewing some of our famous Americans (Paul Revere, Susan B. Anthony, Frederick Douglass, Mary McLeod Bethune, Franklin Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt, Thurgood Marshall, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Cesar Chavez.)
