Reading- In reading next week we will continue working on comparing and contrasting adventures and events characters experience. With regards to grammar our focus will still be compound sentences (two simple sentences put together with a conjunction) and we will also be classifying objects (example-With
Math- In math (when we return from break) we will be working on word problems as they relate to place value and money (dimes and pennies only.) We will begin learning about double digit addition (without regrouping) as well as review greater than, less than, and equal to. ***We will also begin doing our fact fluency with subtraction. :) (Again, the fact fluency is graded off of how well your child does on the amount they try. These are to help students become fluent/fast at adding and subtracting so they will not have to labor over basic addition and subtraction as they grow in their schooling career.
